United States Industrial Safety Association Announces New Advisory Group Member
[Omaha, NE] - The United States Industrial Safety Association (USISA), a leading organization dedicated to promoting workplace safety and enhancing industry standards, is pleased to announce the appointment of esteemed professionals to its Advisory Group. Committed to advancing safety practices across various industries, the Advisory Group members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to USISA.
Gabe Encarnacion is our newest addition to the USISA Advisory Group. He is Vice President at BBL Safety and a specialist in personal protective equipment serving multiple industries including oil and gas, construction, and manufacturing. Gabe supports USISA’s review of protective equipment recommendations and partnerships.
Gabe is passionate about helping people work safer and smarter through having the right PPE for the person and the task. He explains, “A big part of this is education. If people understand the work that needs to be done, the hazards present, and the best PPE for that task, they're better able to perform to the best of their abilities.”
As the focus of workplace safety broadens, Gabe understands that more than ever there is a greater integration of work into the rest of a person's life. He says, “it's not so much about work/life balance; there are more discussions about healthy work/life integration. People aren't robots, so of course what happens outside work can affect how a person performs on the job and vice versa. Employers and workers need to have open communication with one another to find the unique solutions that will address these challenges.”
As innovation in high hazard industries grows, Gabe supports technology that reduces the amount of repetitive labor, beyond the use of automation in manufacturing. He explains, “the ability to easily capture data about the work being done and analyze those data points to quickly make meaningful decisions will become important in many areas, from increasing operational efficiency to increasing accuracy of records.”
USISA's Advisory Group plays a vital role in shaping the organization's strategic initiatives and promoting safety awareness at a national level. Their collective knowledge and experience will help guide USISA in providing valuable resources, training, and advocacy to improve safety practices across the highest hazard industries in the country.
"We are happy to welcome Gabe to our Advisory Group for his unique perspective of providing PPE solutions and as a continuous student of safety and innovation in the industry," said Abby Ferri, Managing Partner at USISA. "Gabe's contributions will strengthen our efforts to enhance workplace safety in the highest hazard environments and continue to innovate the risk management resources and solutions available to our members.”
